<\/p>\nEach quarter, the Seventh-day Adventist Church publishes a ‘Quarterly” Sabbath School Bible Study Guide to be used in Sabbath School, for personal Bible study, or in any other setting in which a deeper understanding of God\u2019s Word is desired.<\/p>\n
The Adult Sabbath School Bible Study Guide (Quarterly) links the entire world Church together in a global classroom. Written by a variety of authors, the study guide encourages personal time with God and His Word. Memory texts and key thoughts from the authors provide an opportunity for spiritual growth.<\/p>\n
This Quarter\u2019s lesson, starting 31 March 2018 (Church study on Saturday, April 7) is titled \u2026 ‘Preparation for the End Time’<\/p>\n

Quick Overview<\/p>\n
The cosmic controversy on planet Earth takes place in the human mind. Just as it did in heaven. The fact that perfect angels and perfect Adam and Eve were victims of this battle proves that Satan\u2019s deceptions had a powerful influence on perfect minds. How much more powerful then, these deceptions must be on imperfect, fallen minds.<\/p>\n
Paul pointed to the ultimate focus of the mind in 1 Corinthians when he stated that by beholding Christ, we are continually changed into His image. Since preparation for heaven takes place in our minds, it is imperative that we fortify our minds with the study of God\u2019s Word, as Paul admonished the church at Colossae, \u201cLet the word of Christ dwell in you\u201d Colossians 3:16. Any idea that questions the authenticity and authority of God\u2019s Word is a tool in the arsenal of the enemy.<\/p>\n
When Christ condescended to become human, two natures were joined together. Never before and never again will there be another Person like Jesus. As He spent time with His Father, He gained the victory over His human mind. Lavish love flowed through Him as He was nailed to the cross. Just as He exercised His free will in choosing to lay down His life for our salvation, we must exercise our free will to receive the gift of that salvation.<\/p>\n
When the controversy is ended and earth as we know it is no more, the Cross will be an ever unfolding revelation of the depths of God\u2019s unchanging love. Our only hope of being among the redeemed is to fix our gaze on Jesus.

The Ferntree Gully Seventh-day Adventist Church offers you an opportunity to get to know Jesus by studying the Word of God.<\/p>\n
We have Bible Study which is open to everyone. There are small groups available to study the Bible each Sabbath. You can choose which group you want to attend. You don\u2019t have to be an academic! Everyone is keen and willing to study, and understand what is written in the Bible, and how it applies to one\u2019s life.<\/p>\n
The duration of the lesson study is about 30-40 minutes, starting 9:30 am, April 7. The Study\u00a0begins the first\u00a0lesson of \u2018Preparation for the End Time\u2019 \u2013 a very appropriate topic to study in this troubled world of ours. If you don’t have a lesson guide, we will provide you with one. We also have Bibles to share as well.<\/p>\n
