It can be done with the naked eye, through a visual enhancement device like binoculars and telescopes, by listening for bird sounds \u2026<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday Morning (9 December, 2018), members of the Ferntree Gully Seventh-day Adventist Church, ventured out to the wetlands of Werribee (Victoria) to appreciate and thank God for His wonderful bird creations.<\/p>\n<p>Both experienced twitchers and beginner birdwatchers tried their luck spotting hundreds of different bird species \u2013 some rare and endangered \u2013 amongst Melbourne&#8217;s wetlands, rivers and creeks. The main location, that was explored, was The Western Treatment Plant, one of the most popular sites for birdwatching in Victoria, with 284 species of birds recorded there from south eastern Australia and the east Asia. The SDA group listed over 80 species on the day.<\/p>\n<p>A big &#8216;thank you&#8217; for Andrew Wegener for organising this event.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the photos, taken by John Weeks, on the
