In leading up to the Ferntree Gully Seventh-day Adventist Church celebration of its 60th Anniversary, to be held on Saturday (Sabbath), October 19, 2019, church member, Lorraine, kindly provided and shared a couple of early photos of the church building for this website posting.
Lorraine is currently working on a video presentation of the history of our church, to be featured during the October celebrations. She is seeking any historic information you may have to be included in her presentation. You can contact her via email … anniversary@ferntreegullyadventist.org.au “If you have photos (actual and digital) of recent and historical events that have been at the church: wedding, baptism, social, outreach events; please let me know so that I can copy them and include them in the video”, Lorraine.
The first photo, circa 1959, shows the early development of the church building. [Photographer: unknown]
The other photo was taken some many years later, date unknown. [Photo by Andrew Wegener]
All friends and former members are invited to attend the celebration. In order to help our catering on the day, please let us know if you plan to attend. Please reply to anniversary@ferntreegullyadventist.org.au Also let us know if you are willing to assist with the catering for the day.
